...Killing Time Poem by NikMorgan ...

...Killing Time

Rating: 4.9

The wait
Drags me down
Thought of the day
Is can’t be bothered
Loose ends fray
Time bides bitter
Dragging it’s heels to linger

Lethargy turns pandemic
Feeling the pressure of repetitive strain
My head feels giddy
Wandering and wondering
Round and round

Rut stuck
I dally
Nothing to do
Nowhere to be
Precious moments claimed by monotony
Lost days
Never to be found

A clever piece. At some time or other, 'Whats the point' is on everyones lips. These days I seem to feel it more. Climbing up the helter skelter of monotony in ever decreasing circles. Great piece Steve

This feels very familiar to me; missing time, losing track of things I used to keep a tight hold on. Aging itself is so insidious and unrelenting, who could ever keep up? Enjoyed the poem very much.
