Kingdom In Ruins Poem by Cameron Lee

Kingdom In Ruins

My castle has crumbled, as I choke on the debris.
I once felt like a mighty knight, but my sword has rusted and I'm on my knees.
My queen and kingdom have both turned to dust.
My princess was never born, my heart has turned to rust.
I just want it to end, I no longer have a quest.
I hang from a rope as I stare down at the mess.

The kingdom may seem empty, but you're just not looking in the right places Look beyond the doors that shuts the world out of the castle You will find your princess dancing among the flowers calling out Daddy twirl me around You will find your queen weeping in the forest knowing what she lost You will find your strength under the dented armor Keep looking my King, because the sun is shining right around the corner Knock down the walls and go find it!
