Kiss From An Angel Poem by Roisin McNally

Kiss From An Angel

Rating: 4.0

An angel amongst the humans
So alone, so distant, his eyes are
Staring into a place that I can't see
That no one but he can see.

He has not fallen, he has been damned
He just wants to be alone
And where better in a world
Populated by over 6 Billion people.

The angel glanced through the crowd
And his dark eyes meet mine.
I blush and bend my head.
He knows I was staring.

I cannot help but stare at him
At such a divine beauty
That makes all of mankind
Look inferior and ugly around him.

I look back up at him and see
That he is still staring at me.
A twitch comes at the corners of his mouth
He is smiling at me.

I have been kissed by an angel.
Not on the lips but by the eyes
An angel smiled at me
An angel kissed me.
