Kissed Poem by Pritam Bhowmick

Kissed

The train kept moving,
It had no heart,
The rattle of the wheels,
The resolve of steel,
Never to see my face again,
Did you not bathe your eyelids once?
Wasn't my foolery missed?
You lie when saying ' NO ',
By your tears I was kissed.

I had moulded myself true,
The glitz and glamour's pangs
Had a black hole in store,
And I sunk in more and more.
You spent sleepless hours,
Not talking but...
Waiting to have a say,
While I split in disarray,
You lie when you say you didn't cry,
You lie when you say I wasn't missed,
But I speak my heart out,
To say by your love,
I was kissed.
