Kissing The Wintry Frost Poem by Sven Rhoads

Kissing The Wintry Frost

Stepping out on this frozen night
Where the stars display such beauty
Icy needles kissing my skin
Numbing the trials of another year
The growing darkness will give way to the light
A twisted balance that bares no mutiny
A dragons fire is burning within
With strength I kick into another gear

The wind dances with the skeleton trees
Whispering the sweetest song in my ears
The colors of every light in the dark
Bring a solace that I cannot deny
For only here I can feel truly at peace
Lashing to the helm as I start to steer
I need not eyes to see the compass of heart
For the desert of diamonds is before my eyes

I'll be kissing the wintry frost
Dancing like the burning flames
On a starlit December night
A perfect moment in a frame
A stage is set on a full moon night
For the embrace I've craved so long
A blanket of snow and a primal howl
To let them all know it has begun
