Kites Into Calcutta Skies Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Kites Into Calcutta Skies

I thanked God
When I saw
The kites,
Black kites
Hovering into the skies,
Over the garbage dumps,
Seated on the towers and the tops,
Circling around, Soaring high,
Purviewing the cityscape,
The urban space
So full of modern pace and rhythm.
