Kitty Poem by Alice Kwan

Kitty

Sitting in the window, purring to herself
Sitting in the window, theres her and no one eles
Sitting in the window, i come up slowly
Sitting in the window, now not so lonely
Sitting in the window, i ask why?
Sitting in the window, why do you not cry?
Sitting in the window, i remind her of her short, short time
Sitting in the window, she does not seem to mind
Sitting in the window, i say kitty, kitty you have less time than me
Sitting in the window, you will pass away soon, but you are at ease
Sitting in the window, she continues purring
Sitting in the window, i start worrying
Sitting in the window, kitty, kitty, oh please i do love you so
Sitting in the window, her eyes close slowly and she goes
Sitting in the window, i begin to cry
Sitting in the window, i remind myslef how my own time is passing by
Sitting in the window, looking out
Sitting in the window, i am fading slowly, i try to shout
Sitting in the window, forced to be quiet, as the colors around blurr
Sitting in the window, i hear the faint echo of a kitty's purr.
