to know one's place
is a state of happiness.

this is where you are now.
know it well.

you are a tree so you
stay put and be happy with
the ground.

if you envy birds and fishes
you are the most unhappy tree
in your forest.

hold your fruits
sow your seeds
and imagine on some days
when you are tall and strong
surrounded by your sprouts
and seedlings
you are the happiest tree
as always
in your own forest
elbowing with the heavens.
