There is a saying
in Acholi spoken in Uganda
"Ka lyec ariyo tye ka
lweny lum ayee deno can"
When two elephants are fighting
it is the grass that suffers
And Ugandans seek "Piny maber"
good surroundings
an ideal social state
everyday choices and practices
not only
a situation that people passively live
"Kuc" peace in Acholi
the peace to garden
to plant seeds and plan
to be there for the harvest
the freedom to plant and hope
for a good crop
in good surroundings
When two elephants are fighting it is the grass that suffers.... wisdom that influneces the read very much. your simple language helps us to understand the wisdom you teach us. thank u. tony
