Kurdistan Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Kurdistan

Kurdistan

Read I-I and A-F on tails of Hercules
-Iran had purchased the two planes
-marked as ours
-but never!
-not even the crew that flew
- (including myself)
-could or were permitted
-to have the full knowledge
-so, we worked for Force of USA

We were Dogs
Of dog's dog of a dog
For their hunt; greyhounds

We were the betrayers
-of the Kurds, Kurdistan

What can tell the people when simple?
-how to laugh at their tales?
-how funny are fables!
-among them Salahuddin!
-and Kaveh…metalsmith?
- (A cook who turned rebel!)

No
No
No
I am not angry
I am not angry
I am not angry

No
No
No
I am not pessimist
I am not pessimist
I am not pessimist

Neither do I claim miracles!

So, was led and was made!
My fate or destiny
- (and partly my efforts)
-whatever; removed me from the
-rough plains and mountains
-then sent me to the town, capital
-right-after, world-around
-as simple student, to liaison officer

I was an observer
-a part of what happened
-in times was VIP
-to Royals, generals

I flew illegal
-took part in the flights

Tanzania never learned our secret
-neither did Hemingway; the Ernest
-we flew over the Kilimanjaro
- (illegal)
-and over Zanzibar
-as we did on borders of Iran
-and Iraq
-and kissed the Persian Gulf
-I took part in the War of Dhofar
-saw Yemen fall apart
-I was in the Indo-Pakistan's
-and laughed at Harrison
-when sang George "Bangla Desh"
- (I was there…)

No
No
No
I am not angry
I am not angry
I am not angry
No
No
No
I am not pessimist
I am not pessimist
I am not pessimist
