La Ilaha Illa Anta Subhanaka Inni Kuntu Minaz Zalimin Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

In the depths of my heart, I call out to You,
With a humble voice, seeking forgiveness anew,
La ilaha illa anta, there is no God but You,
The one and only, to You alone, I am true.

Subhanaka, my Lord, I praise and glorify,
For Your mercy and grace, I cannot deny,
You are perfect in every way, free from any flaw,
The ultimate source of guidance and the law.

Inni kuntu minaz-zalimin, I confess with sorrow,
I have wronged myself and caused pain to borrow,
But with You, O Allah, there is always hope,
You are the light in darkness, the strength to cope.

So I turn to You, seeking solace and peace,
Hoping for Your mercy, my sins to release,
Forgive me, O Allah, and guide me to the right path,
With Your love and compassion, I will never fall
