In the poems of Langston Hughes, Death is quite prominent as something unobtrusive and to be feared. Hughes imagines his own death where nothing is all, there is no sun in the sky, and he who is nobody, will become infinity and even a god (divinity) . This a daring thought that only a poet could think of. Why not become a god?
I think 'There' affirms human dignity and greatness in the face of death.
