Lambretta/ I Have Not Forgotten/ Motorcycles Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Lambretta/ I Have Not Forgotten/ Motorcycles

Lambretta

When a child
I used to love to hear
The sound of the Lambretta scooter,
On the stand
And he kicking to start
And it sounding beautifully
Taking the heart with it
Going elsewhere.

I Have Not Forgotten

The small but lovely cars,
Padmini,
Chevrolet,
Contessa,
Coming into our dreams
And letting it not sleep.

Motorcycles

Bullet,
Java,
Rajdoot,
Which do you want?
The craze had been otherwise.
