Lamp Lighting Up The Room Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Lamp Lighting Up The Room

Lamp sitting on my table,
Sitting in the room,
Where do you get your light,
To light-up the night?

Where does your incandescent glow come from?
Where do your bright rays emanate from?
It seems from deep within your heart,
Where resides your glow.

Lamp sitting on my table,
Sitting in the room,
It seems your rays come from the window,
The light coming in seems to bloom.

You are the largest lamp of the universe.
You are the solar rays,
Of the sun.
You are the greatest lamp,
Called the sun.
