Land By The Sea Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Land By The Sea

Land by the sea
Not fronting the ire of the winter waves
But looking on them from a safe retreat
Perpetually:
Ancient vessels shall sleep there
With sea-ghosts and sea-spirits
Seagulls fly circling
Lamenting
In a funereal way even in summer.
