Land Mark My First Poem
My first poem
Thursday,22nd November 2018
I felt elated
when reached
the 20K mark
what a start!
I was just new
the raw man from the village and knew only a few
I was not aware of the poetry sites
Mumtaz* friend from South Africa suggested Poemhunter to my delight
My first poem was "miss, I really miss"
fear had caught me unaware
I was skeptical about an acceptance
it was really go sent chance
I have not looked back since
it gave me enough boost hence
I picked more threads
and eventually led the marathon
I thank my first site Poemhunter
it provided me the place so dear
I have continued since then
and found safe heaven
