Laocoon Poem by nicky kelly

Laocoon

Many blame it on Apollon.
Where air was
now white coils and vortex
dumb show
as retort
blazing down of sun
- crumbly frenzy
the sphinx charmer
turns up evidence -
the superhuman sway
the new efforts
impassively suppressing
the continuous, present
impending calamity.
No devising
no overtones
- that goes without saying-
but scathing words
entangled, petrified
an unreal fix
of moving unfailing patience
a sudden intuition
something serious
happened.
Veins swell with the effort
interference
- or introspection-
slip in among the fours:
cruel punishment
- pushing-
interpretations may be given
or a bit of mistery
kept.
