Last Breath - Poem by Ernesto Torres

There is many says
of what happens before you part ways
with your body
to somewhere holy

There are many sayings
that your hearts last beatings
will repeat
every joy and sorrow

One can borrow
from god and the devil
so now i feel evil

me from the inside

I grasp my throat as it tightens
once i jump from the chair
destroying my last breath
through my despair

as i feel my last breath
