Last Night Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Last Night

Rating: 4.0

It was very eventful last night
We knew we would get right
It was a beautiful sight
Eager for the emergence of light

The moon hid behind the darkness
We thought it was praying for our sadness
Was never a long wait for happiness
The appearance glowed beaming of gladness

At times it feels the sun does not set
Something you can never place a bet
Even when you throw away the blanket
Nature has it done and wrapped in bracket

Yet these events are awesome
Forget the times they become worrisome
May be eclipses are troublesome
Alas! Everything is orderly not cumbersome
