Last Night In The Dark



Last night
As I approached
The Basic Sciences building
In the dark
The bell sounded
Ending evening classes
Simultaneously
Students exited
All the floors
Upon entering the stairwell
They turned on their cell phones
From top to bottom
Flickering lights cascaded
Down the stariwell
Like a sudden violent
Meteorite shower.
