Late Fall In Victoria Poem by Francis Duggan

Late Fall In Victoria

Late Fall in Victoria in the middle of May
But for the time of year 'tis a beautiful day
The sun shining warm in the clear blue sky
And birds chirp and sing in the parkland nearby
The weather temperatures perfect with a freshening breeze
That rustle in the leaves of the gum and wattle trees
In the sunlit park by the beautiful sea
A day for to live on in the memory
Children in the park playground children's games do play
Utopia from this place cannot be far away
The silver billed black and white bird who sings all through the year
The flute of the magpie melodious and clear
On this day in mid May in the southern Fall
A memory to cherish and for to recall.
