Law Must Take Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

If I could make my plight known
To the ignorant people of my own
That to respect woman is the only answer
To solve the burning problem that bothers

The violence against woman has reached peak
We are making women folk very weak
We make situation from bad to worse
She is not even in position to curse

The women is symbol of sacrifice
Simple and ordinary with no tall words of promises
She is symbol of peace and tolerance
We need to look at from such angle at once

You may develop kind thought
In schools too it has been taught
How we miss our mother and sister!
If they are not seen little longer

Yes liberty and freedom go side by side
Even though the opinion differs and divides
Some of women activists try to present bright picture
Yet it is well known fact that their life is not fully secured

I feel so much in distress
Why people can not bring real happiness?
Why woman has been made only sex object?
Why society has whole unit together and react?

Can we claim immunity on the basis of ignorance?
Or to have been carried away by wishes at once?
No not at all, the civilized people need a reminder
The law must take its own tough course and order
