Lawrence And Benedicta Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Lawrence And Benedicta

Oh Elders and Nobles!
Listen to my muse,
The sage of my life,
With the page of my age.

Lawrence and Benedicta were my school mates!
But, money made them turn away from me;
Thoughts of tomorrow,
Our friendship fell apart like,
Things Fall Apart.

Lift up your eyes and understand my muse! !
Then you will understand;
Money changes many things!
Because of the deep;
Deep darkness covering up many things,
Covering up the truth,
Covering up the faces of many things;
But, one who works towards the future will always eat the food of love.
