Make sure the words you say
Are the words you mean
Make sure you love her before you say it
Make sure you truly do
That one time you spoke to her
It gave her hope
Just the way he spoke
The way he said hi
Made her think and sigh as she waved goodbye
Soon to learn everythings a lie
Oh how she wants to die

Or a girl like me may believe
May have hope that things are ok
Or I may sit and sigh
That girl walked away
But not to see another day
Just to sigh one more time
And to understand he lied
She too will lie
