Lay You Down Poem by Miranda Weller

Lay You Down

When I think about you, I wonder what you thought of me. I think about how many memories are left like a scar upon my mind. I think about the laughter and the tears. I remember the smiles and listening to all your stories. I think about you most on the day it rains, maybe because my tears are hidden, or the cold that already has me shaking. I wish I could see you, talk to you. One day I'll see you and get to hug you, I'll get to tell you I love you. With your daughter now dancing. We will mourn together and celebrate your life. I bet right now you are singing to Jazz with the voice you've always had, sit and listen. Sing as you always have, with out the voice, with out the care. Rest in peace, until we see you again.
