Laying Upon A Grass Bank In Summer Poem by james watkin

Laying Upon A Grass Bank In Summer

Like the eternal rest
Singing and flowering at Time's end
These moments in loving's
Sereneness that are hatched and ripened

Seem to hover, dream-like
Out of suns of a careworn scything
Into what fall not; fade.
Nor in heart; nor in youthful eying.
