Lazarus Arising (Sicilian Septet) Poem by Gert Strydom

Lazarus Arising (Sicilian Septet)

I have been told by a young mortician
about a very strange odd incident
where declared dead by a physician
as a corpse to the mortuary went.
An old to death drugged local musician
unzipped the body-bag, did anger vent,
his language was not anything Christian.
