Leaping Back Over A Hill Poem by james watkin

Leaping Back Over A Hill

Rating: 3.0

Leaping back over a hill
From adventures unknown
Out from all a sheltering place
The one warm-roofed picking
This young bear, or lion cub
Of a boy wounds, licking.

Braved with claws unsheathed, to climb
Tree's challenge, extended?
Or as fierce, what of it met
On the wind out-stretching
Ran for a rocky steep up;
To fail; falling. Retching?
