Learn To Live Simply, Wisely Poem by Mohammad Younus

Learn To Live Simply, Wisely

Learn to live simply, wisely,
If you desire to be godly;
Look at the beautiful manifestation,
And pray the manifester, your creator;
And take long sessions with your lord,
Before morning and after evening,
To get the lessons about Love and peace;
And wear out the useless worldly anxiety.

When the silence pervades at night
And the sweet echoing sound,
Of Hu is melodiously heard,
I compose myself for offering Tahjud,
And contemplate about the originator of life;
Then comes inspiration from The Eternal:

'I have got no body, no form;
I am the transcendent!
On earth you can see me,
In my beautiful manifestation;
I have no ears but yours;
I have no eyes but yours;
I am the All-hearing!
I am the All-seeing!
Yours are the ears through which,
I hear your thoughts;
Yours are the eyes through which,
I look out at my manifestation.'
