Leaving Fifoot Ward Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Leaving Fifoot Ward

There are only hours left
Until FIFOOT Ward I must leave,
Having finished my Rehabilitation,
After having my Right Leg amputeed.

Woken again by YOU, LORD,
Putting Words in my Mind ~ yet again,
Reaching out to find paper,
On which to write them down with my pen.

Thinking how my Life must change now,
Thinking what YOU have in store,
For me to continue to Praise YOU,
As YOU open for me ~ another door.

Sleep ~ why have you left me?
Why must I not feel tired?
At this time each morning,
My thoughts to Praise YOU are wired.

How do these Verses keep coming?
Word follows word in my Mind,
Written down by me on paper,
To be read by all Mankind.
