Leaving It All Behind Poem by Sven Rhoads

Leaving It All Behind

The painted world of the autumn canvas
By the death of the falling leaves
It is time to end all of this
As you fall on your bending knees
You tread the waters of hypocrisy
Now that all bridges have been burnt
Alone now for the winter to see
You're getting everything you have earned

Don't waste your tears that you cry
There are no words to be said
Stranded in your personal hell
Among the orange and the red
The blood has dried on your knife
You cant lie to me anymore
Smashed the stained glass of your life
Now that you left it all behind

Its time to let it go
And learn what you have done
Turned your back on me
And now I will be gone

The white veil of the wintry frost
Covers the funeral of what was
No turning back, all is lost
Sold your soul for pseudo love
So dry your empty tears
And move on with your life
Stood standing with no fear
Until your eyes met your demise

I'm leaving it all behind
Letting the betrayer go
May the stain upon your soul
Keep this in mind
With every crust of snow
You let the lies take full control

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When one is blind and puts the lies over the truth, it will all one day come crashing down. But will they be able to go back to the way things were?
