Leaving Like A Forgotten Eagle Poem by Hebert Logerie

Leaving Like A Forgotten Eagle

I am giving you my back like the dove
Hovering sadly in the deep blue sky
I am leaving and loudly saying goodbye
Farewell, au revoir, adios to my love.

It's about time that I leave everything behind
Because you are inconsiderate and very unkind
I am leaving like a supersonic jet plane
Like a forgotten eagle left to die in the plain.

I have no choice but to move on
Darling, you can blame no one
But you, you who have ignored my complaints
For years. I am leaving to join the saints.
