Leaving The Nest - Poem by Snehal Amembal Shiralkar
At times when I falter,
When I fall behind,
I miss your protective shelter,
I feel all dead inside....
Your constant words of encouragement
Elude my senses now,
I miss that comfort you gave me,
I feel left out somehow
The world seems so nasty
Its ruthless, this race to win,
Uncertainty pervades life’s events,
I know not where to begin....
To let go of home is painful,
But this painful? I didn’t know,
What you mean to me is priceless,
In words I cannot show......
