Left Naked And Exposed Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Left Naked And Exposed

I remember those days when I stayed,
Dedicated.
But, together the fun we had,
Has long been faded.
Yet, today it makes me angry,
You're elated.
That I'm gone.
And left naked....
For so long,
With a nose wide open it shows!

Everywhere I go people ask me how you are.
And they know.
Everywhere I go people know you're not that far.
'Cause it shows...
My nose is wide and open.
And I am left exposed.

Everywhere I go people ask me how you are.
And they know.
Everywhere I go people know you're not that far.
'Cause it shows...
My nose is still wide open.
And I am left exposed.

Oh I hate it,
That you left me naked and I can't pretend to fake it.
Oh I hate it,
That you left me naked and I can't pretend to fake it.

Everywhere I go people ask me how you are.
And I can't fake it.
Everywhere I go people know you're not that far.
And how I hate it.
'Cause it shows my nose is open.
And I'm left naked and exposed.
