Leila’s Barns Poem by Marilyn Lott

Leila’s Barns

Her pictures are professional
This lady named Leila Young
She travels around the country
Ohio is where she is from

She is passionate about old barns
And snaps photos along the way
Seeing the country from a motorcycle
Exciting places pack her interesting day

Peeking through the growth of trees
Leila draws out an abandoned house
It makes her wonder about the family
Who hung the curtains and her spouse

Worn out little out buildings
Nearly gone from so many years
I’ll bet as Leila’s takes these pictures
At times is brought to tears

Several lifetimes have gone by
Families have died and now are gone
Gives you such love for nature
And the past becomes so strong

What a special lady Leila is
Don’t you agree that’s true?
Takes off on her bike across country
And shares her photos with me and you!
