Lengthening Shadows Of A Recluse Poem by Catherine Lindsey

Lengthening Shadows Of A Recluse

Rating: 5.0

I've heard every line
Heard it all before
every reason for the distance
why no one walks my shores.
But I deserve to be someone's choice.

So many bubbles burst
So many red balloons
falling from my sky
So many hopes for love that's true
dashed, before my eyes.

Hope is fading away
with shadows lengthening
outside my door.
