Let her speak
Thursday,6th September 2018
The little girl wants to speak
but likely to stick
on her future dreams
and follow the sunbeam
she may stop singing
and try to bring
sadness, not on the fore
and feel sore
she may think
and put her ink
on the page
with little knowledge of an age
she is not sure
of a bright future
but an inner voice is heard
and she picks up the positive word
she has the beautiful voice
with enough of choices
she shall raise the banner
when the chance is offered
she may not have the real idea
and take the sip from the tea
the vapor may guide her to the sky
from where the thoughts may apply

Loved the poem, especially, these lines... 'take the sip from the tea the vapor may guide her to the sky from where the thoughts may apply'. Sangeeta Das, Delhi, Sep 07,2018
