Let It Down Poem by Robert Sheridan

Let It Down

My new love just went
from higher to lower, a
feeling that slammed -
slammed me to a new
descending order, now
I have to try and pick
myself up once again,
getting rather sick and
bloody tired of this; does
not look good, not even
on litmus paper; fed-up
time and time again of
being kicked in the head,
you know what I mean -
wait a minute, it'll come
to me, hold on, oh yeah
it's called being blind-
sided; now looking for
the slang of this whole
'dang' thing, wait, wait
just a second, oh yeah
it's called 'Give me a
love up', hold the 'dang'
deception and all the
lifeless sweet talk, give
me a real women any
day ('B' girls need not
apply) ! Oh, and one
last thing, 'If you can't
stand the heat, get out
of the kitchen! '
