Let It Rain Poem by Stephen Wallace

Let It Rain

Rating: 2.0

Have you ever struggled to make ends meet...
Realized you're traveling down the same old streets...
Each day seems harder to stand on your own two feet...
Giving your all that you can feel your heart bleed...

I know you have, I can't be the only one...
That's wanted to give up cause myself feels torn...
Prayed for God's grace but instead got the devil's horns...
Kept from crying but felt the rain pour...

Today is the day to make a change...
To stay true to yourself & create a better way...
Try something different instead of doing things the same...
You don't need to be famous to acknowledge your fame...

I know you have, I can't be the only one...
That's wanted to give up cause myself feels torn...
Prayed for God's grace but instead got the devil's horns...
Kept from crying but felt the rain pour...

These aren't just words it's a motivational speech...
I'm trying to build you up cause I know your weak...
I'm probably the strongest person that'll you'll ever meet...
But even on the dryest day's I've felt my eye's leak...

I know you have, I can't be the only one...
That's wanted to give up cause myself feels torn...
Prayed for God's grace but instead got the devil's horns...
Kept from crying but felt the rain pour...

I know some days it seems real hard to breath...
Tossing & turning at night cause you can't sleep...
Just keep your faith & take a leap...
Have grace in your heart & take the lead...

I know you have, I can't be the only one...
That's wanted to give up cause myself feels torn...
Prayed for God's grace but instead got the devil's horns...
Kept from crying but felt the rain pour...

I vote you read my poem, While You're Rising Up, spun of the same thread. Indeed we have been there...some not than others, a few times down th long and winding road. PEACE
