Let Love Die Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Let Love Die

Rating: 5.0

Don’t leave here giving platitude
Never mind your subtle attitude
Leave with consummate grace
Nothing then to replace
Not having to save face
Be so noble and leave the love
So I can wear it like a glove
Fending off unwanted attention
Cure is worse than prevention
I can replace and rebuild with ease
There is no one I have to please
One last wave then be gone
Let love die, like a swan
