Let Me Die An Unremarkable Death Poem by Arun Maji

Let Me Die An Unremarkable Death

Rating: 5.0

Let me die an unremarkable death
Like those dew drops
Which fall silently
And wither silently.

Let my death be forgotten fast
With no song, praise or sorrow.
Like those islands in distant ocean
Which appear and disappear
All alone
With no song, praise or sorrow.

I am so sick of sound of glory.
I long for silence.
A peaceful serene silence.

I tried yet failed to be serene in life.
Death is my last chance
To be serene and silent.
I must not deny myself that chance.

Don't weep, don't sing, don't despair
Just burn me fast
And rain will do the rest.

O God, o beautiful divinity,
House me in womb of
The great peaceful silence.
