Let Me Have A Little Place Poem by Raymond Farrell

Let Me Have A Little Place

Let me have a little place
With land to call my own
Not too much, but ample space
To grow my food, and feel at home.

I'll sit beneath a sprawling tree
And bid my friends to do the same
Come I'll say and visit me
Come by and have some tea.

We'll idle, and chat, and take our leisure
And talk as friends are prone to do
Just being together is such a pleasure
Its simplicity, our spirits will renew.

Our conversation will take us here and there
Far from the troubles of our day
Gradually we'll feel unburdened and free of care
As our stress and tension melts away.

Very nice simple pleasures, relaxing in the garden with good company! Check out my poem, 'My Great Escape'.
