Let's Imagine Poem by Edwina Reizer

Let's Imagine

Let’s imagine that I am you
And you are I for a day.
We both would get to experience
The roles each other play.

Let’s imagine we are lost
And cannot find our way.
We both would have to help each other
And together pray.

Let’s imagine no one sees us
So, they cannot know
How we look or how we think
Or how our life does flow.

Let’s imagine I can feel
All your pain inside.
And you can feel all my pain
And our foolish pride.

Soon we’d come to realize
And feel compassion for
Everything the other senses.
We’d be imagining no more.

Our lives would change forever
For then we both could see
What goes on in a different mind
If I’m you and you are me.
