Let Us Clean Our Mind Of The Deep-Dark Desires Poem by Mohammad Younus

Let Us Clean Our Mind Of The Deep-Dark Desires

Let Us Clean Our Mind Of The Deep-dark Desires

Let us clean our mind of the Deep-dark desires,
Suffocating the breath of the souls good.
Souls be tied now to the remembrance of,
The covenant, that we have made to lord,
On the Day of Alast.
A vow of being Godconscious, through pleasure,
When we were sent to inhabit the earth.

At present - we are drawing million miles away,
From keeping the covenant to our Lord,
That we made to Him in eternity,
When we were yet to be born in earth.
Because we are ragging, tugging, pushing,
At the horizon, to pursue our earthly desires,
Only with the evil craving in our mind to be superior.

Adoring earthly life is like a curse from divine,
Obstructing the pathway to a meritorious life,
Of God-consciousness, while living in the earth.
Let us exercise restraint to our rebel nafs,
Tether it with an iron rope, to grip it for ever so tightly.

While waves arise to form the tsunami within,
Of a thousand wishes, threatening to drown us.
Let's wake up and throw off the heavy load of,
Ungodly desires into sea, from our boat of life,
And safely cross the sea to reach the shore.
