Let Us Just Forgive Him Poem by Anisha Nyambe

Let Us Just Forgive Him

I'll forgive him because he doesn't know,
O! he doesn't know
The love that both his parents show
Both his parents show
He doesn't care about how the others feel
How do the others feel?
It doesn't bother him that they have to heal
Everyone needs to heal
We'll forgive him and he won't even care
Won't even dare to care
We'll love him and he won't care to share
He'll never care to share
And O! his parents love him so
So, so. So, so.
And he acts as though he doesn't know
He doesn't know, he'll never know
That everyone he sees above
All he sees above
Will slowly lose for him their love
Lose for him all their love
And us without fathers, we can see
Blind, but we can see
A different perspective differently
All so differently.
