Lets Hear It For Compassionate People Poem by Francis Duggan

Lets Hear It For Compassionate People

Rating: 5.0

So lucky are those with compassion they never do put others down
Their type of person are an asset to City or Village or Town
In a Human World where self centredeness is common above the ordinary they do rise
With those who live life in the hard way they readily do empathize
'Tis sad to think they are not honoured at least not in any big way
These people always helping others they do their good deeds every day
The world needs more with the gift of compassion people like them needed everywhere
They help out the homeless and hungry of the bigger World out there
Of celebrities and financially successful people we mostly do read of and hear
But to honour compassionate people there should be a day set aside once a year
They seem to go almost un-noticed but their praises I for one must sing
I have to laud them for their kindness hope to the have nots of the World they do bring
Lets hear it for compassionate people the toasting glass to them we'll raise
Non judgemental and so kind to others and they are well worthy of praise.
