This Veterans Day
Let's remember the heroes who fought and sacrificed and gave,
For them one and all let us patriotically pray
Because, they truly are the proud and the brave.
For us they took on both pain and strife
As they served and fought with freedom on their side,
They gave us their arms and legs and even their life
And they would do it again with honor and pride.
Let's salute our state and our country's flag
And the veterans who proudly carried and saluted and raised it,
Let us sing and boast and let us brag
And let us never ever forget.
Let's remember the heroes who sacrificed and fought
And let's remember the cowards who dodged the draft,
Freedom and honor our veterans have always sought
While to the veterans the cowards gave them the shaft.
