Letter To Cupid Poem by fadillai dapilaa

Letter To Cupid

Hear me speak
I have an acquaintance with the rudiments of love
It pours on me its vexation
Swinging its ugly face upon my making
Deserting me with its ridicules
Leaving me with only words within
Love is but a flickering
So it hurts before I blink
All my loves, I can't withhold
Soaring away like the bristle cone pine
And I flinch anytime it yells

I constantly watch over many
Feeling its presence near
In me, I have done introspection
I blame myself not
For every soul lingers in fallibility
Constant in me is submissive
With all the servitude
I often stand on the edge of an abyss
And my happiness ebbs
My love cannot be toxic, for it glows

Now Cupid
These are my inner worries
That run deep and true
I fight to make each love
Better in every possible way
For a love, that is what I'm reaching for
But I'm shattered in a million pieces of failure
As they go, please keep me one
I beg of you Cupid
