Letter To My Newest Friend Poem by Oluwaseyi Francis Adeosun

Letter To My Newest Friend

LETTER TO MY NEWEST FRIEND
That lovely morning,
I almost declined your request,
But Alas! It paid off.
Your first 'hi' sent a familiar signal.
Followed by your friendly questions,
Like an old friend.

Was it a divine arrangement?
Maybe yes, here is why.
I hardly make friends in
New area, but yours was exceptional
We became friends,
Owing apology to no one.

At My first sight of you,
I saw a meek,
Friendly,
Wonderful,
Easy going but
Free-with-me friend.

Your smile is an antidote to my worries.
At the hearing of your voice,
A strange feeling peruses the me in me.
Your lovely gaze caresses my nerves,
Massages my tiring tissues to life.

The gods must have caused us to meet,
Oh, you mean its God?
All the same,
Supreme being is in charge.

You have been a strong reason
My days have been fun here.
Thanks for choosing to be my friend.
I will do all I can to be a good friend.
