LOVE GARDEN

They say love is what make the world go round,
I beg to take exception.
They say love answer it all,
I beg to appeal against it.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

It Started before the forth moon,
When I tasted from the WATER
Of emotions,
To my friends I always boast to be strong, but
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

My first taste was coldly warm
It was sweetly bitter
A bittersweet experience,
I was unhappily joyous.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

It totally went sour when my heart
Was dealt the first blow.
It bled like a maiden been unflowered.
The pains grew like plants on virgin land.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

'I won't love again' I swore
'Life is easier for the singles'
But wait, I have tasted it,
The memory of the taste keeps me awake.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

Severally, I tasted again
Sometimes sweet,
Other times sour,
At another end, it maintain a middle cause.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

Alas! I found a new Rose,
Still Green, fresh from the garden.
I tapped it, replanted it beside my river,
To have for herself abundance of water.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

I wore the armour of endurance,
Perseverance was my cloak,
All this aimed at protecting my flower,
My radiant of new Hope.
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

Now, my call disturbs,
When I don't call, then I don't care.
'I'm very busy' she now say.
Yet, she claims 'I can do anything for you'
See what love has done to me,
It has turned me to a puppet.

Thoughts are dethroning thoughts,
Ideas are at loggerheads,
Well, i hope i am not correct,
I dont want to be a victim again.
I want to regain my freedom,
From the servitude love have sold me.
